Hey! I'm Dannielle
Thanks so much for taking a few minutes to get to know me a little bit more.
My husband and I, and our four kids, are currently stationed at Fort Polk, LA. We just got here in February of 2019 and so far we are enjoying it! We have been married going on 9 years and Fort Polk, LA is the 5th place the Army has sent us.
Here are just a few more things about me that you may not know.
I'm a military brat myself, I then joined the Army after high school and then met my husband in the Army! So basically I’ve been enrolled in DEERs my entire life. Crazy right?
I am a mom to three boys and one girl.
Because of all of the moving I've done in my life it's really hard for me to stay in one place for too long. I start to get antsy and feel the need to move houses or cities or states after about 2-3 years of being somewhere.
I think coffee should always be served on ice.
I'm a lover of any and all types of music. I can get down with the best country songs and then skip a few songs on my play list and rap right along with the best of the rap artists.
I love to support small handmade shops and most of our daughters toys and clothes come from those shops.
I have been breast feeding for the last 5 years straight and may or may not be feeling 100% touched out and over it.
Barefoot should just be a thing, why do we even have shoes?
I'm a huge minimalist, we don't even own a tv....I know, we are basically like aliens or something right?!
My oldest son is autistic/non verbal with SPD and he's one of the most amazing kids I have ever met.
I believe women can birth however and wherever they want. You should always have a say in your birth.
I have had 2 hospitals births and 2 home births myself. One of those home births was with a midwife present and the other was a planned unassisted home birth.
I believe women are strong, brave and know their bodies best over anyone else. I have had a free birth and trusted my body completely. I believe that all women are able to do this and that they choose which birth option is best for them based on that.
Feel free to read more about my Unassisted/Free Birth here.
Tattoos make me happy and I am covered in them.
I know how to crochet, knit and sew but don't do any of them much these days. I did recently pick up Macrame though and have been loving learning how to do that.
I'm a free spirit, live each day as it comes, kind of person.
